Welcome to the September Training Bulletin.

This months bulletin is jam packed full of information for your and your networks. In this bulletin we outline the upcoming training for October, November and December; and celebrate our win in the Professional Services category in the recent Quest Newspaper awards.

With 2012 fast approaching, the team and I are planning our training presentations and scheduling our calendar for next year. We would love to hear from you if there is a particular subject matter or training presentation that your organisation would be interested in attending. We'd also love to know where you would like your presentations delivered - we travel all around QLD and Australia, so please contact us with your suggestions.

Earlier this month I took some time to visit our relatives in Christchurch, New Zealand. It was wonderful to spend time with them and also heartbreaking viewing the damange and destruction of the recent devestating earthquakes that have brough Christchurch to its knees. I was so compelled by our visit, that I felt compelled to write about our experiences and share with you the experiences of our relatives. The blog is called "Living in the RED ZONE", and you can read it below.

Until next time

Living in the RED Zone

MMMM where to start. Christchurch in the RED ZONE

It never ceases to amaze me how resilient people are under extreme stress and post a traumatic experience. This is what I witnessed when travelling last week to Christchurch. Having family who live in the RED ZONE  we could not wait any longer to see how they were surviving. What an emotional experience.

Without realising it here in beautiful and relatively safe Australia, it was the first anniversary of the earthquake that gripped the city of Churches in September last year.

The facts:

  • Christchurch has experienced over 8000 aftershocks in the last year
  • 564 million hits on GeoNet in the 6 days post the earthquake
  • 86 Heritage buildings have to be demolished
  • 241 buildings to be......read more
